Founded in 2002, Ethnic Channels Group is Canada’s largest distributor of foreign television channels. They hold 53 licenses for broadcast from the Canadian Radio and Telecommunications Council (CRTC). Ethnic Channels Group broadcasts its channels across the country via different platforms, such as Rogers Cable, Bell TV, Telus TV, Shaw Cable, and many other networks.

With the growing popularity of Internet television, Ethnic Channels Group has launched its own Internet Television (IPTV) platform, NexTV. This has greatly increased the number of foreign channels available to Canadians, and has created television packages for them with diverse and interesting offerings. Extensive experience coupled with a large number of international contacts has become the foundation of our success in the Canadian market.

Internet TV is often confused with Streaming TV. Streaming TV means streaming a TV channels through the Internet, and usually watching it on a tiny “window” on the computer screen. The stream is often interrupted and the quality, in most cases, leaves much to be desired.  IPTV is watched the way television is supposed to be: on a Television. Unlike cable or satellite, your TV is connected to the internet through our small set-top box.
